Biography
Intern at Hazara Lab Group
A curious and research-driven individual with a deep interest in understanding scientific mechanisms and problem-solving. Possesses a calm and focused approach toward laboratory work, with attention to detail and a willingness to learn continuously. Works with dedication, patience, and adaptability, while maintaining a responsible and organized work ethic in both independent and collaborative environments. Enthusiastic about exploring new ideas and applying scientific knowledge in practical, meaningful ways.
My research centers on the molecular and biochemical characterization of KPC beta-lactamase variants implicated in carbapenem resistance. By integrating enzyme kinetics, thermodynamic analyses, and structural investigations, I aim to decode how specific mutations reshape catalytic function and alter susceptibility to clinical inhibitors. A key focus lies in understanding the mechanistic consequences of active-site substitutions how subtle changes in protein architecture translate into broad-spectrum resistance phenotypes observed in clinical and environmental isolates. This work bridges protein chemistry with the pressing global challenge of antimicrobial resistance, offering insights that can inform the rational design of next-generation beta-lactamase inhibitors.
